Yeah, it's not like its going to make the front page of the daily mail or anything like that. If somebody in the media were to ask Rishi about I'm sure it would be uncomfortable at least. I think its more that there vetting isn't very good and racist feel that there welcome in the tory party.
Also I missed this yesterday. Raab will need to persuade the court that he's an idiot and didn't deliberately commit contempt of court. something tells me he'll be safe.
Are they that bothered? I doubt it really alienates any of their core vote and they might pinch back some UKIP/ReformUK votes...
Am I suggesting this is a calculated strategy? Not really. But I don't think addressing the issue (or the release of information at least) is a priority for Tory HQ.
