Serious bike envy, have always loved that specific Trek 5500 usps colourway. How is it to ride?
I know the list is probably long but please add my name to it if you can ever be tempted to sell!

You local to Ironbridge?

Thanks, it was always the best colour way in my eyes! Feels amazingly comfy, some situations with small vibrations it shakes more than I expect, but generally very smooth. Never raced on it so not sure of full speed handling…
Can’t see me ever selling but I’ll add you! Thanks @doubleodavey and yes @Tom13 I’m down the river about 15 miles

Nice the bike is looking great. My mate used to race a 5900 is USPS colours. Was the best looking bike ever at the time with full Dura ace and zipps.
You back towards bridgnorth/bewdley or further towards Shrewsbury.
I ride bridgnorth, Bewldey, Ironbridge, much wenlock, Ludlow area when I'm out. -

Looks great. Love those forks.

Yes the 5900 is a beauty too, with the TT chainring 👌🏻 Back towards Bridgnorth, tend to ride towards Shrewsbury more than Bewdley as I don’t trust the roads round there, too narrow for my liking! What do you normally ride? I’m sure our paths will cross at some point!!

Previous owner put them on, a good upgrade from standard fork from the information I’ve found, plus much lighter

I've got a 5200 in the same colour but not USPS and another frame that's been stripped and lacquered. I've not built it up yet.
The blue sparkling in the sun reminds me a bit of a fairground dodgem

I used to have a 2002 usps 5200. Absolutely loved it. It became my single speed commuter for a few year.
I got this top to wear for a laugh on pub rides but it size Small and it just looked ridiculous on me.
Could never bring my self to bin it.But if it would fit you I’ll gladly sling it in the post to you free of charge!
Or to anyone else who wants it, I’d only ask that you’d promise to wear it while riding a matching bike…

Brave.
This is what happens when you kill the glossy photos thread
Getting some grams off the brakes and pedals, will weigh eventually when completed.
Would save more weight by eating less chocolate or using a laxative the day before a ride, but that’s far too simple
