  • They've threatened to cancel the installation next week if its not paid immediately.

    I mean, if the windows are bespoke to your property, that would be a very silly thing to do as it would leave them with a load of unusable stock.

    Agree with @skinny - what does the contract say?

  • Just checked, unfortunately the contract does say that full payment must be made at installation. So I guess I'd better pay up and hope for the best..

  • "At" installation or "before" installation? If it is "at", I'd be waiting until they are on site with the installers

  • As above - 'at' if that's the language used, means on the day to me.

    I would even argue that means when the job is finished (same day).

  • @leggy_blonde would know and as they said, 'at' doesn't mean before. Is the contact witten by the firm or a 3rd party. If a third party ask them their definition of at. And if the window people, then give them the dictionary and some good will.

    Lesson learnt on reading contracts!
