You know you've made it when Phil actively disapproves of your bike

Thundercross today, one of the highlights of the London bike calendar imo!
Good vibes , met @samrensho
Also believe @ojwithbits and their bike packing bags were spotted maybe? but they were too busy racing for me to say hi

Racing and crashing! Bent my derailleur hanger nicely in, had to take the chain off and get darling Ed to take me home in his cargo hahah
Thanks for the sneaky pic and shame I didn’t say hi!

AGGHHH!! That’s unfortunate , this is why we all need friends with cargo bikes
-
• #2932
I was there also but didn't spot you about or I'd have said hey

It’s a shame as you could have ridden the 1x1 and disliked it offline too!
I’ll be back down for thunder crit so hopefully catch you then, if not before when @BareNecessities gets another badgers together

I don't do mud. How uncivilised

I don't do mud
I can see why

Never
I've always been fully supportive of your modest aspirations

did some very bad things to a surly 1x1 in the past, but didn't think of bmx bars... chapeau!

Big bmx in its natural habitat,
I want to make it clear to the reader, I got absalutely 0 air. None. It wasn’t a case of photography, it wasn’t a case of careful editing, I just did not leave the ground. I was terrified, I even went so slow that my wheels slipped and I nearly feel over in front of the skateboarder and the 12 year old on a mountain bike, if I hadn’t saved it I would have never have shown my face there again.
I want the readers to know this so they can know, other people are awful at riding bikes too.

Nice to see you have a PineCone Bag (patent pending) already.

hopefully i will get a trail finds viewing window on my bags one of these days.
sad news,
the bmx bars are going, i've managed to secure some magic components worm bars thanks to the endless generosity of sam over at freshtripe (the best bike parts shop on the interwebs (honestly unrivaled, it's just so good)). i just need to find a 25.4 clamp, 90-100mm +10 deg stem , maybe even a 0 deg. something a bit posh would be nice, have a thomson and a hope. might buy a nitto from sam but ideally would like something a bit more agricultural.
it might seem like i'm messing with things that are not broke, but it's important research for a undisclosed, much more exciting project that is slowly forming. more on that in the future

-
• #2948
i'd love nothing more than to stop tinkering tbqh, like a cycling based guy ritchie plot im embarking on "one last build to get me out the game for good (8 months or less)" to attempt this
-
• #2949
For me, it's either building another bike or playing with what I have. What I have is quite good in many cases and we are running out of space for another bike...
One day I will succumb to my own joy. -

"one last build......."
I wish you luck in this endeavour, if you crack it, gimme a shout, share your process.
I feel I may need to book into some sort of clinic out in the countryside, I'm constantly thinking about my next fix!
It’s a mullet outfit
