Thanks for all the replies to date. Does anyone happen to know whether the SRAM software update that allows the AXS 12s Blip Box to work with 11s set-ups (which I presume to mean SRAM 22 eTap derailleurs and an 11s cassette) means that an AXS road group set (with DoubleTap shifters, no Blip Box) can also have a software "downgrade" to work with 11s wheels? I can see the obvious problem might be that the downsizing of the AXS drive train means the FD might struggle with "normal" compact chainrings (or non-compact for that matter), but does anyone have any experience or links that discuss this hack?
Derailleurs are 11 and 12 speed specific, while 12s shifters can pair with 11s derailleurs. Which is why the 11 speed mechs have become so precious. For the front mech setup, the key thing is clearance to the chainring and the yaw angle setup - needs a bit of fiddling.
