  • I know it's a pointless comment to make but...

    Let's say you don't think golliwogs are racist, you just think they're a charming historical toy, etc. Let's also say you don't see yourself as racist.

    When people then tell you directly and via police complaints that they find golliwogs offensive and think they are racist, then why don't you just put them up in your living room, rather than displaying them in your pub and offending people?

  • They’re using their own experience of what considered racist, rather than other’s live experience.

    They simply refuse to make that connection due to privilege.
