love the tiles ;-)

Are those teal(?) tiles really tiny or is it a bigger tile with a pattern on? Really nice, love good strong colour in a bathroom (and mostly anywhere) but don't think I could deal with that much grout if it's all small tiles.

They are mosaic on a sheet, think they are 200x300. It’s not me tiling though!

Clearly we have similar tile tastes mine are just spread across two bathrooms :)

And ours is tiny, think there are only 4 whole tiles on that floor.

Lyle, Lyle Crocodile's bathroom was our (loose) inspiration for our current bathroom, but we might go even more in that direction for our next place. It's a timeless classic.

Apologies if you’ve answered this repeatedly already, but which type of ply and finish have you used for these window reveals?
They look gawjus.

Bathroom lighting question. We have three downlights and are adding a flos mini globe on either side of the mirror. It's a dark alcove on one side of the chimney breast.
I'm leaning towards having all the lights come on together using the existing pull cord.
Alternative could be a second cord next to the first one, maybe smart bulbs and a remote button so we have less things hanging down.90% of the time we will need the lights on by the sink. But potentially if we are having a bath, it might be nice to have them on, but not the main lights. Not possible with one pull cord.
Thoughts? Any options I'm missing?

we had a little wavy IR sensor for the mirror lights (this sort of thing) concealed in the side of the cabinetry, was a neat solution. But obvs. you had to get over there to switch them on. The builder mentioned some mad option at the time that could be concealed behind the tiles (?!) with a similar wave-to-activate thing but it sounded a bit too sci fi for me.

also they turn off when having a bubble bath.
We went for two switches located in hall outside of bathroom. One for spots and one for glo balls -

not a room motion one! a tiny on/off one, no timer.

Smart bulbs? That's what we did when we wanted to separate two lights on one switch. Then you can control with an app, a wireless switch or even voice.

I thought of that, but it seems to be a bit overkill for a bathroom, maybe not.
I forgot to add that there is an extractor fan controlled by the same switch, which I don't want people to easily be able to bypass.
I guess one switch for now, and then smart bulbs if I want to be able to program different 'moods' using a remote button.

Could stick a Shelly wifi relay in the ceiling. Make everything smart. I’m considering this for our bathroom fan so it doesn’t come on at night

Tiler in this morning and turns out we’ve been sent the wrong size tiles fml

How do people run their personal small projects?
We're putting in a new floor, 2 rads, knocking out a wall, ceiling, booking a hotel for certain points, etc.
So it's not massive or anything but once you break it down there a bit of planning needed. So wondering what people do.
I've started using MS lists at work for some detailed stuff but mainly high level. Haven't checked I have it on my personal computer.

So wondering what people do.
I have a bunch of over-engineered spreadsheets that I built for managing somewhat larger projects and programmes.
I use text notes at home though - usually saved as draught emails, so that I can access them anywhere. Occasionally, I'll add a calendar reminder.
These are usually aide memoires, rather than strict planning.

Cheers. I was sort of wondering about borrowing a template. But then don't want to over complicate it.
I think I'll just start with a Google sheet and see where I end up.
Ha! When did you do it?
