  • Are fees higher for EU donors?
    Is 5 euros cost effective?
I hate Pal, my account was hacked multiple times.

  • Fees are still the same-ish... 2.9% of the donation plus a fixed fee which is here: https://www.paypal.com/uk/webapps/mpp/merchant-fees#fixed-fees-donation

GBP/USD/EUR 5 is about the lowest it's worth donating, as total fees on this are about 10% of the amount donated. Below this, the fees are a higher %, and there's someone who donates £1 per month and honestly it's pointless, they're just giving money to PayPal.

Aiming for GBP/USD/EUR of 5-10 per month is good, if someone is flush (appearing in the Golf Thread) then 20+ per month is probably healthier.

We're paying in total about 10% of all income to PayPal, but it is still better to have lots of small donors (and a higher fees %) than it is to have very few large donors as then we're at the behest of the large donors, i.e. a single one leaves and the whole place is no longer viable, whereas people churning is normal.
