I have the louisiana grills one from Costco which is half the price of the kamado Joe, the details on the vents and little extras aren't as nice as the Joe but it's 24 inch rather than 18 and definitely not worth paying over 600 quid more for a Joe.
Imo you'd be better off buying a 600-700 quid kamado (there's loads out there now) and spending another couple of hundred on a thermometer/fan control like the thermoworks signals. When the only options were the big green egg and the Joe I think they were worth the money but I think now there's more options I don't think they're worth it.

Costco are doing the Kamado Joe Classic II for £1,150.
That's £300 cheaper that the next seller (ignoring the schonky af looking sellers, that it).
Is it worth it at that price?
