So I've acquired an R800 f&f from @shawnb and was going to do a parts bin build, but given those parts are Campagnolo Veloce, I wondered whether a more bike-appropriate groupset would be better. What do people think? They shipped with Shimano 600, I think, but I don't think I can stretch to that. Older 105, maybe?

Hey, it would have originally came with 1055/1056 series 105 👍

Thanks. That should make it more feasible. Hopeful it'll fit a more modern 10/11-speed block at the back, mind.

What are the chances of finding a decent 2001 CAAD4 F600 15 minutes from my house that matches my 2001 silkroad?! My wife has been moaning about how shit her Pendelton is for a few years so when this turned up in a 16" size I couldn't believe my luck. Headshok still works and holds air, but the bike has been totally stripped for a little bit of pimping as most parts were worn out. I've got a wanted ad going by the way...

Love how the silkroad is hanging around by the work stand, like it is curious to see what the newest member of the family is about :-D

It's as amazed as I am at seeing another 2001 model with the same paint scheme! It's actually a US only model in this spec and colour. I'm only gutted that it's not a size large 😉

I have had several Cannondales with this. The only ones it was a problem with was a Six13 which ended up cracking where the carbon met. But I’ve stripped several CAADS to bare aluminium and then polished it and it was mint. Needs polish regularly but they look awesome and no more worms.
About fifteen years ago I was quoted a mere $120 (I'm in Melbourne, Oz) to anodise an ally frame...
As long as there's no steel bits married to the frame, it's definitely the go IMO. Lighter (~0g!) and tougher than paint, and it's possible to do some pretty rad stuff with finishes and colour... This is a mock-up for the anodising job I was planning:

Cannondale website doesn’t have a geometry chart yet. They have phone number for a product specialist ie sales staff.

Sizing up a new bike on geometrygeeks. Does anyone know if the 2017 supersix stack measurement includes the cone top cap? If not, is stack measures to top of head tube minus top cap?
-
• #15941
At a guess, I'd say it measures to top of frame with no headset parts. Frame measurement innit, not frame plus removable top cap measurement

Thanks, I’ve transferred my confusion to the bike fit thread as it involves lesser bike brands, should anyone be interested…

Anyone in Penzance? Stars and stripes Cannondale for a ton:

(nothing to do with me, fortunately much too big or I'd be trying to figure out how to get it shipped) -

Can anyone support me with Supersix sizing?
I'm looking to buy Supersix from 2013 in size 58. I'm 1,85cm tall and have 85cm inseam. Any clue how the Supersixes fit? Small, big, correct to standard?
Full factory suspension is still doing servicing on pretty much any cannondale fork.
They're even still doing headshocks
