I made the mistake a few years ago of filling a raised bed with the poor quality topsoil created when I dug a base for our greenhouse. It’s been OK for flowers and spuds but crap for carrots and salad so I spent a very satisfying hour yesterday seiving out all the lumps and stones to use it as a seed bed. 🤞
