It is with a heavy heart etc... I love this bike, but it can't do touring duty so I hope someone has as much fun with it as I've had for the past decade or more.
Right, first up - it's not a Moser, previous owner stuck Moser decals on it, I thought they looked ok and left them. It’s actually a Milanetti from the late 80s, but I never bothered to confirm model. Let's call it a Moseretti. Fork is a panto'd BMZ (Biemmezeta). Judging by the weight and ride feel, it's most likely Columbus SL. It's been powdercoated at some point and has drillium dropouts at the rear.
The GOOD:
Shimano 600 Tricolor crankset, BB, headset, RD/FD and DT shifters. All works buttery smooth as it should, quite amazing for a 30+year old set up.
ITM quill
105 5500 brakes
Avid levers
Deda Dritto bars
Fizik Ardea saddle
Surprisingly competent and new Chinese flats
Shimano Rs 10 wheels
28 GP 5000 tyres, life in them yet.
9 sp SRAM cassette and KMC x9 Chain < 500 miles on both MOSER bar end caps!!!
LFGSS sticker!!!
It's RAD
The BAD
Seat post is stuck - so you're going to need to free it up or be 5'5 - 5'11 I reckon. I'm 5'9 and it's perfect.
There's surface rusting on the chrome on the fork and the DS chainstay. I've cleaned and oiled, but it'll probably come back.
It's 126mm at the back so I've had to be a little forceful to get modern wheels in an out. Never bothered me, but if does you, you know what to do.
Pick up/try on - SE27 or HHV
Hard to price, but let's say £175? I'm sure you'll let me know if I'm off...
