  • I don't think you're going to get many buyers at that price.

You can get it new with 2-year warranty for £350 (adds VAT and import fees, maybe 420~450) from https://www.bike-discount.de/en/sram-red-etap-axs-12-speed-rear-derailleur-33t

  • Thanks for pissing on my bonfire @cynddl I'm a SRAM dealer so warranty is intact and potential buyers are welcome to make an offer .....

  • Showing as €479 for me...

  • Sorry then, it wasn't clear from your message if warranty was offered or not! Looks like a good deal with warranty in the UK :)

  • When signed into that website choosing delivered to the UK it shows me £362.83 plus £17.98 shipping then whatever VAT and fees are due.

But user epoaholic does mention that they are leaving the country in another thread. So they would do well to explain if its coming with a proper invoice from a business that would be needed for the warranty over "I'm a sram dealer"

  • sheesh......how the vultures circle :-D

i should've been more concise.. i have the delivery invoice for warrant purposes which you will need.

  • follow + popcorn.

Recently had trouble getting my 'overseas' Force FD replaced in the UK, had to send it back to the country I purchased it from to get the warranty. (It's been replaced but still there at my sister's, as chose to quickly get a Rival FD instead of waiting for months with 1x)

  • That’s interesting since sram have a global warranty policy.
Literally all my sram axs bits have been bought from outside the uk, have had two parts warrantied via sram uk no questions asked.

Is it more likely the uk retailer you tried refused to have anything to do with it since you didn’t buy it from them?

If you have a lbs who you’re on good terms with, you just need them to get you a return number and at least offer to pay postage and maybe bring them a few beers.
Admittedly I have a friend in a bike shop who’s sorted it for me and I’ve dished out beers as a thank you.

epoaholic, no doubt knows all this, getting warranty sorted won’t be any problem at all when you have the receipt no matter what country you’re in.

@epoaholic soz to derail thread, it’s a good price with full warranty!

    Have a free bump :)

  • Is it more likely the uk retailer you tried refused to have anything to do with it since you didn’t buy it from them?

Yeah it's more like that, smaller shops just don't want to deal with it and larger shops (ahem the 'good' one in Hampton Wick...) want to charge £50 admin fee -which I refused as £50 is preposterous- all of which I have purchase histories from (but not in a sense that we're buddies). Even talked to SRAM support about this but they couldn't really help and I eventually gave up.

In conclusion having a 'UK warranty' is a good thing if you don't want to deal with the headache and the BS that's associated with it.

  • Tried talking to the distributor directly? I think it’s zyro fisher.

  • reduced to £350!
