Some people refer to automatic watches as self winding, too. But I think you're looking for 'mechanical'. As that covers automatic/self winding and also hand wound movements.

New 38mm SKX style Seiko 5s, reminiscent of the SKX013. Also only 12mm thick which is a bonus. Love the teal one, and the champagne/white one looks nice with the slightly grey bezel.

They look nice, remind me of the 007. 007's are crazy money now.

SRPD55 is the most similar to the 007: https://www.seikoboutique.co.uk/product/seiko-5-sports-4/ - same size, basically, but without a screw down crown and lacking a lume pip in the bezel. In pretty much all other areas the quality and finishing is as good or better than the 007 (eg the markers have stamped and polished metal surrounds rather than just printed lume), but they are not “proper” ISO-certified divers watches like the SKX007 was.
These new ones are smaller, more like the SKX013, which is another cult classic. Would love them to do a Pepsi bezel one.

Here’s the original quartz diver the teal one is based on. Fun.

I should probably try one on. Had a long love affair with my 007 and I'm struggling to wear the watches I have already...what am I even doing in this thread?

Lufgus is largely responsible for me owning:
More watches than is reasonable
Mechanical keyboards
RC cars
Selvedge jeans
Noise Cancelling headphonesProbably more that I can't remember
(Absence of bikes is intentional, no one rides bikes any more)

Is there anywhere in central that I might be able to try on a Sinn 556i?

Shit, yes.
Sort of.
3 pairs of Red Wings and counting -

I don’t think there is. London is a massive gap in their distribution.

I think I have 3 pairs also.. But they are split over the decades 90's, 2000's & 2010's.
Surely we need a thread for SL1200's
