It's not a road route though.

@Thrasher - it's a tough one as you have two roads that you want to avoid, the A9 and the A82, especially around Loch Lomond, but if you head down the Great Glen to avoid the former, it's hard to avoid the latter later.

Personally, I'd go south west through the Great Glen then avoid going inland through Glencoe and stay heading south, then look at going via Lochawe to Inverary, head to Dunoon, ferry across the Clyde then into Glasgow that way.

But I imagine there are much better routes.
