Can anyone recommend a bedside alarm clock? Small, no ticking and with an ascending alarm that starts at an incredibly quiet level...

Just get a child, they don't fill any of those requirements but they're bloody hard to ignore

Just walked past a pawn shop I’d not seen before - interesting oyster quartz, discounted but still a little spendy I think - maybe room for negotiation, not that I’m in the market…

I wonder if this is a sign of a shift in the market?
Previously undesirable models that jumped in value now getting reduced back down.

Who sells these things to pawn shops? Madness.

I imagine most are bought from insolvency auctions as job lots? Most pawn shops don't appear to be any more. It's more like a privatised charity shop

Love those oyster quartz , as worn by messner and habler on Everest . I turned one down at c £1.5k . Thinking on it more though , the potential crazy fixing costs would stop me buying it, same reason I would not buy an omega marine mega quartz , although I love the style ..

Rally strap for sure

Alarm on your garmin? Set it to vibrate only. Mind you, it did used to make me jump so much that I woke the missus which wasn't always appreciated...

Are there any other names for an automatic watch? Is that the right definition for a seconds hand that moves continuously?
Sorry didn't know how to.
@apc Thanks
I didn't realise Richemond owned Watchfinder!
