You can use a grub screw for blanking, but as it has no stop you might need thread lock to stop it walking in or out. Nylon is ideal as it won't corrode and you can easily drill it out when you mash the slot trying to unscrew it. You might even admit defeat before you even start and screw it in partially then slice it off flush for a really neat and clean plug. Nylon grub screws are available from many sources, but I'm lazy so if I needed some I'd go to accu

You'll want to use your watchmaker's torque wrench as they need 0.5Nm -

Yeah, they keep pulling features from the personal edition. It's six months since I even opened Fusion360, so I was speaking from memory of what used to be there 🙂

Probolt dome head. Very unobtrusive due to their shape:

I'd love to have the time to learn it to a solid beginner level to justify a subscription.
Sadly I'm firmly in the just about coping novice category.

Probolt dome head
That's quite a big head compared with a normal M5 button head, in both diameter and height

Rotor bolts work well if you find the slightly longer ones, plus LBS will have handfuls of spares, probably mostly T25 but some 3mm Allen too.

yeah, it's more that the dome is very shallow and so they aren't as visible once installed

I rent an office in a small building.
Today they had a plumber come round to fix something, elsewhere in the building.
In the process of fixing it, they somehow burst a pipe directly above my room.
Almost everything inside my office has been soaked through and destroyed. Probably about ÂŁ25k worth of equipment. I don't have insurance on this stuff.Do I have any rights to get the equipment replaced?

I guess the plumber has public liability insurance which should cover?

T25 is far superior to a 3mm Allen key too. Especially for a dome head :)

3:1 diameter to height vs. 3.4:1 for a normal button 🙂
I know what you mean, but the Probolt ones are meant to be unobtrusive when securing flat body panels to the underlying structure, I just think the width against a round down- or seat-tube is going to create a snagging hazard.

My GF (not a confident cyclist, nor even a typical 'London cyclist') wants to cycle from her home in Mudchute to Peckham regularly. I used to do this route(ish) and know a couple of options.
- Go through the foot tunnel to Greenwich > Greenwich High Road > New Cross Rd > Queens Rd > Destination.
- Foot tunnel > Greenwich High Road > Brookmill Park > St Johns Vale > Past Lewisham college to Telegraph Hill > Kitto Road > Hollydale> Wiggle the backroads to Rye Lane.
Option 1 is too busy and scary for her. Option 2 is frankly too much of a hill given that she is a novice cyclist and has a ~20kg dutch bike.
Can anyone suggest a better option than simply telling her to tough it out and walk when the hill is too steep?
- Go through the foot tunnel to Greenwich > Greenwich High Road > New Cross Rd > Queens Rd > Destination.

classic new bike solution! lower those 20kg to a nice and easy 10kg without much cost!

edf energy don't like the sound of that option...

Not the most direct but there’re cycle paths from Greenwich toward Bermondsey and then down to Peckham

I used to go Brookmills Park >cross Brookmills Road > Admiral Street> Friendly Street (not as steep as Telegraph Hill) Wickham Road> Brockley Road> Braxfield Road> Howson Road>Dalrymple Road> Cross railway lines x 2>Turnham Road>Brockley Way>Ivydale Road>Cheltenham Road and she's on The Rye. With the exception of Brockley Road, the majority of that is on quiet / traffic free roads.

They are, although occasionally they can be a bit fiddly if you don't have the range of movement a ball ended Allen key gives you in a tight space.

Does this chicken appear un(der)cooked? Would appreciate at least one serious answer please, to figure out if it’s worth complaining to the restaurant…

Hard to tell as it could have reached appropriate internal temperature but it does look a little pink.
-
• #116623
Not the best lighting but yes it’s partly pink, mostly looks the yellowish colour of raw chicken, and doesn’t pull apart easily. Thanks for the 2nd opinion.

Thank you !
That's a plan view rather than a bird's eye view 🙂
