Think she saw this: https://www.edwards-rensen-architects.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/courtyard-design.jpg and thought it was a starting point for improvement on our concrete mess of side return. Which would be true, though far from perfect. But maybe a practical and achievable improvement in time for summer.

My wife wants some kind of wood cladding along a wall in a side return. Not the side of the house but the wall bordering our neighbour. How do? How much?
The idea of adding yet more wood outside bothers me given how shit we are at maintenance with existing stuff.
