Thank you, I am still tinkering what to do with it, maybe ill pass it to my brother

Neon yellow brakes didn't work with the whole aesthetics of silver and classy green paint so I left black cantilevers. I am gear cables, flite, chain & small bits away from being finished

What size is the chrome frame...
-
• #81
It's about 18-19" but I am not located at UK & not sure if I want to sell it just yet

No problemo, I've been looking for a 26" frameset for a while and haven't come up with anything, was looking for aluminium anyhow. But if (somehow) you decided you could sell the frame I might be interested.
Also not UK based 😉 -

Updating a project which nearly took a year.
It was a summer time, my fiance's birthday was on its way & I decided to gift her a retro mtb. She only has one roadie which she loves but I can't take her on any small trips off to gravel/forest roads. So there it goes. I found a Trek 970 from 1992 or something, it was battered but the lugs and sparkle purple colour looked great. It came all the way from Germany to Lithuania and once I started inspecting it, I found it had a crack at the chainstay. After getting almost full refund from seller, I gave it to my local lbs friends to weld it. They applied a small & solid patch of steel (maybe not ideal but fixed the case for the time being in a budget friendly way). I painted it with german-engineering-antirust-technology primer + black montana paints. You cant even see it now.
Some parts bin with 8 speed xt shifter & flashy xtr derailleur. Stridsland inspired moto bars + bmx stem combinacione. She also asked me to put a wald basket on front & purple cables for brakes, so it's on!
During spring time, I made her a halfie frame bag + a basket bag for runarounds the cafe/parks/shops etc. It's one of the most used bags in a house now haha.
Today we both took it to a local wild beach, taking our folding chairs, books and blankets for a cozy morning book read. On the mid way to the beach she said she wants to do couple of nights of bikepacking. Success : )
Here are some pictures

Stunning! Are those 2.15 or 2.3 DTH tires?
Only thing that bothers me is the front part of the front mudguard not aligning with the tire... and the white zip ties. ;-) -
