I do miss being called Bradley Wiggins in Basildon during an audax I have to say.

I've already spent $1200 on forks for this bike hahahaha kill me
I'm a multi-fork muppet. Built a bike with the ubiquitous ENVE G-series fork, then realized it isn't friendly to dynamo lighting and switched out for an Enigma after just a few months. At least there's a decent market for lightly used bits on ebay especially now.
Beaut pics! We're due uh 8-30" of snow this weekend so planning to get an early ride tomorrow before everything is slush for a week.

Had my WI hubs relaced to Archetypes. Such a solid rim considering they were released like ten years ago almost. And the easiest tyre mount ever because tubeless road rims>>>
Riding these for the first time this morning made me realise how incredibly soft feeling A23s are. The Archetype's are just really lovely to ride and such solid value for money. Stout as anything, too.
Having ridden my new surly exclusively for the last couple of weeks, this felt like an absolute rocket ship. Going from 750mm wide MTB bars to 40cm road bars was also hilariously weird at first.

nice! are they 30mm tyres?
-
• #531
They are indeed 30mm Corsa Control's. This fork easily has room for 32mm. The frame doesn't but the fork has mad amounts of room considering it has the same A-C as an Enve.

That is a lovely bike. I'd personally have a Campag chainset on it - apologies if that's been covered - but to me that is so much nicer (and probably more practical) than almost any of the carbon bikes currently around.

Thank you and yes, it has :-)
I originally was running Shimano 105 on this bike so had the Praxis chainset in lieu of the ugly R7000 one. When I switched to Chorus, I intended to buy a Chorus chainset but just never got around to it and still haven't. It's still on my list of stuff to buy, but other stuff has been prioritized.

Lovely, my kind of road bike.

Looking good, how’s the fork, is it truly

As far as carbon 1 1/8th rim brake forks go that aren't frame specific, yep, this is the best I've ridden.

I like this iteration

Looks like the stem has changed too?
-
• #539
Good spot. A simple all black Kalloy Uno from Fairwheel bikes. I am still waiting for Sim Works to get their stems back in stock and have been for some time (I had a 100mm on here originally but need a 110mm). So in the mean time I got this. The Nitto UB25x (or something like that) was 5⁰ rise which was just weird and awkward, aesthetically.

That would be the Sim-Works Rhonda you're waiting for? If so it can also be found as the Nitto UI-12, may help finding one in stock.
-
• #541
Yes, the Rhonda.
Thanks and I know, but I like the little red heart on the face plate 🥲 as it matches my spacers.

When the same guy who once lent you a David Kirk frameset offers to sell you an almost identically sized Axiom SL to the Axiom S that you sold, with Super Record/Record, a brand new Enve fork, a Seven 5e fork and almost new Boyd Altamont Ceramic wheels for only $1500, you simply do not say no. Whacked some Turbo Cotton's on it and will be taking it out tomorrow morning.

Never change JB, even when you have kids etc.

That is one thing I can truly, definitively say I will never be doing.

Switched back to the enve forks? The other forks looks better imo, they looked horrible in the first pic you posted but in the picture above on this page they look spot on. On: amazing bike, looks very well balanced
-
• #548
It’s a different bike. I sold the Seven that has the Falz further up page.

Crazy deal. Hope it helps you find your mojo again JB!

How are those Boyd ceramics?
It's nice but that's no Essex.
