Not that strange, Cervelo had a 2-position seatpost on the pre-2013 P2/P3 (the current ones have a long v-way to achieve the same thing), some other TT/tri bikes had reversible seat posts to give a similar effect.

Yeah. They both have some serious Schönheitsfehler in my opinion.
