Basically chainline still wasn't good enough and chain got stuck once dropped and somehow tacoed the spider and chainring. At least that is my guess. Had to walk 4km home in my winter cycling boots.

Yes. And it's quite annoying as I am totally broke and can't afford to replace them and I can't bring myself to start my gravel bike already. Still salt on the roads.
Considering building it up with bar end shiftera as I have some newish shifters, second hand parts for the drive train, and wheels.

I'd get in touch with Rotor about the broken spider. They've always been helpful when I've contacted them in the past.
