I did the launch ad campaign for this.
We spent €600k in consecutive double page spreads in the FT to ensure its Golf Club status.

Incredibly complex hybrid system mated to a 6.0 V8?
Will be fine for 300k miles, probably more.

How about a low mileage, slightly less presidential Lexus?

Seems a bit of a bargain next to a £10k Picanto...

That £10k piccanto still has me on the edge of flouncing. Not just from the thread, not just from the forum. But from life

Ref my V-Class Camper, the WBAC value will be for an as-stock V-Class MPV, which mine is not, it has two of the rear seats missing and a double bed, kitchen and large storage unit in the back where the third row of seats would normally be. It also has professionally fitted black out curtains and awning rails down either side, the right hand of which has an awning fitted.
I'm wondering whether to pull all the camping gubbins out, or to leave it in - I doubt WBAC would give me any money for it, but it's very expensive to buy from Blok Pod, so likely some value in a separate sale there.
Could I run the van round to WBAC for an in person appraisal, or is that not a thing?

I have found that WBAC lure you in with a price, then you take it to them, they point out everything that they either don't like or make it a hard sell before low-balling you.
I sold the M3 on eBay for the grand total of £29, had a group of chaps turn up and try and outbid each other before the winner appeared three hours later with a flatbed and took her away.
Yes it's a day of your life, but for the sake of £29 and two dozen cups of tea, I'd do it that way again...

Besides, you're approaching the van buying time of year. People may well want to buy it for staycationing purposes. Plenty of affluent couples around who want to ride bikes and don't want the faff of the Four Seasons Hotels group.
What are you going to do with the 911? I'm presuming storage of some description?

Maybe stick it on here? :

Although it isn't a "classic" they might want to put it on - might be good to have a chat with them.
Pretty painless process and you get 100% of the hammer price.Just sold my DS on there.

The WBAC agents are very open to bribery, one of them was quite candid with my cousin about how pitiful their commission is. If they let 1 car slip through without knocking down all the things that they're supposed to, they'll only lose £20 commission, but to you, a £75 bribe buys you £500-£1000 back on the value of your car.

It's exactly how WBAC works. You just go through the process online and book an appointment, they will look at the car and give you a price (as others have said). You can just say "no thanks" and drive away with absolutely no obligation and all you have lost is an hour of your time.
They offered my £2k for my XC70, I said "no thanks" and sold it for £4k on Autotrader.

Sad times.

How does this work if there's no commission and they write a lengthy description for you FOC? Do they only select certain vehicles?
Probably need to sell our VW t25 later this year
-
• #74224
Presumably you'd have to bung them some money somehow and they ignore all the issues they're supposed to note down in order to offer you less
-
• #74225
But value of the van is over book, so do WBAC ever offer more than quote?
Ideal comfort for wafting along the M4 and then up the A470 with them attached
