Don't suppose that anyone has got a spare rear mudguard blade for a bike without a rack?
Had someone tread on mine whilst it was folded at a coffee shop yesterday and didn't realise until I unfolded as I left that they had broken it at the bracket where it attaches to the brake calliper.

Do aliexpress do a Ti version of the telescopic? If not possible to get one of the manufacturers in China/Taiwan to make a copy for you?

hadn't see that SJS sell just the bottom tube of the Kuosac tele - by my reckoning you could save nearly 200g with a no-cutting half-way house:
kuosac steel lower 324g, ti 27.2 upper (e.g torus 350mm is 250g) = 574g plus a lightweight qr clamp
vs stock brompton 440g lower + 220g upper + 108g pentaclip = 768g plus 8g qr clamp

These are poorly made and suffer from deformation

Good knowledge, did seem a bit too good to be true “yeah we just made it thinner and it’s fine”…

Looking for a recommendation for the clamp spring thing that keeps the hinge clamps aligned… all I seen to be able to find is this kind of thing

Got to say that the cheapo rack and wheels make it way easier to roll the Brompton and it's much more stable. For about £30 it's a good upgrade.

Get the original, free if you have a 3D printer: https://ezclamp.co.uk/

Is my rear frame slightly bent? It's an old M3L c. 2004. Have you seen this before? No play in the rear pivot; the alignment of the suspension block with the back of the seat post is off centre. I had noticed it before and thought it was just a tired suspension block, now replaced. I could just bend the frame back a bit?

I have had a set for a couple of years and haven’t regretted it. Not cheap though.
