Our work used a lot of Iomega drives which seemed pretty reliable and robust.
Just checked and they were taken over by Lenovo and discontinued 2018. Might be OK if you are looking for a cheap used one.

It is a stag do, so I imagine some amount of getting mashed up will occur, but on the flip side I am now a dad on the wrong side of 30 for getting mashed up.
Fortunately my banking app lets me pause cards, so hopefully that can prevent any undue chaos if I lose my card, just need to not lose my phone at the same time.

Not something I have extensive experience with, but I picked up a cheap Samsung one a few years back and it's always been reliable (probably only used it around 5-10 times to be fair). One of these: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/125834039633

I’m about to swap a damaged door on my car; which grease should I be using for the hinge pins?
Will any old bike grease do, or something specialised? Lithium? Obviously needs to be long lasting and weatherproof…

Will any old bike grease do
Yes. The generic grease pot they use at the garage might have something a little thicker than common bike grease, but not enough to worry about. If your car is post-war, the door hinges shouldn't see much weather.

Right, so Booking.com issues.
I tried to book a place, and several time I get the "invalid card" message despite it being 100% correct, no issues with bank, tried partner card and got the same message.
Is this something that hotel/b&b cheekily marked as invalid to force us to pay on the spot instead of waiting until the day of the booking?
Thank you for the booking you have made through Booking.com.
Due to an error, your booking was not fully confirmed on our system by Booking.com. We have therefore created the booking for you as it was booked at booking.com.

Anyone got one of these charging cables they might be kind enough to chuck in the postbox?

Is painting a headset, possibly using one of Condor's little touch up bottles, a stupid idea?
(Normal threadless 1 1/8 external cups)

Painting the exterior shouldn't cause any problems, just make sure you don't get any on the bearing races/surfaces.

Buying good used bike kit in Majorca- is there a physical or online location that’s used the most?

Wallapop would be my first bet.

Definite fraud attempt, as Coventry eagle alluded to. Do not engage, and if you're worried about your booking log onto booking com to check it.

Where to buy a used bike in Ireland? Want one to keep at my in-laws in Galway, eBay is pretty bare, donedeal has more, where else should I be looking?

Why do rim brake calipers always have the cable entry on the right?
-
• #116567
Because entry from the left is against traditional Conservative values and can only lead to being nice to people less fortunate than you, the repeal of Brexit and the risk of increased prosperity for the masses who should be suppressed.
Of course, they only enter from the right if you are sitting in the Conservative, or driver's seat (saddle). Viewed from the front, they enter on the left.
Centrepulls are the giveaway sign of the Centrist Dad, pulling from or towards the centre should be avoided at all costs.
Hope that helps.

Facebook market place. Lots on here. Some possible gems on gumtree also.
We have a shop up near Derry and some good used bikes if you want to PM what you are after.

Because it's the right way! LH v RH drive, wrong side of the road etc...

I thought the right preferred to stop by shoving a stick into their own spokes then blaming the left?

Bit fed up with the pub near mine using the pavement as a loading bay, often blocking the entire footpath. it’s also right next to a crossing on a busy road (of which there aren’t many) which seems even more irresponsible.
I’ve contacted the manager a couple of times who have assured me it won’t happen again but they don’t seem that bothered as it still happens regularly.
If I make a complaint to the council would that be a logical escalation? Or are they allowed to do this. There’s nothing really stopping them using the road as long as they stay clear of the crossing.

Local parking enforcement people might be interested.

No, they have a butler to do that for them.
Did you realise that the sneaky Continentals operate their front brakes with their left hands? This adds to the evidence that they're all cowardly surrender monkeys. Some French brakes (like CLB) even have their cable entry on the left. The dastardly French have even been seen to lean left when cornering.

Terminating a director of a Ltd Co, online on Companies House. Who is the Registrar?

@nef another advantage of the post office card is that if you are getting mashed up (do people still do that?) and you lose your card you've only lost that preloaded amount.
