what does one do with all the delicious left over pickle juice / vinegar from pickled onions, pickled beetroot, pickled walnuts and pickled gherkins .... apart from making more of your own pickle.
tried grating carrot in left over pickled beetroot juice a while back and that was a nice combo
any recipes ? marinate some meat in the juice or add to a stew ? for a bit of tart flavouring

Can be added to buttermilk for a fried chicken marimade. Also pickleback shots if you are brave.

I asked the same question here a while ago when I had quite a lot of jalapeño brine and it made the best fried chicken brine ever, thanks to a handy suggestion from some fine fellow here

Poppy seeds surely?
Something East European and dumpling-like?

My parents are moving soon. The local chippy is good, but the local Indian (4.8 from 55 reviews) is a pioneer of fusion food:

Yes, it's plum dumplings with ground poppy seeds, icing sugar and melted butter.
An approximation of a Germknödel. -

Know.
Bit of a short notice one.
Edit; trying to avoid the Portuguese bakers as missus isn’t partial to their icing, finds it too sweet
