and @mr_tom thanks for the suggestions. I found the spare part online for £8 so will see if I can ressurrect it. The part that transfers rotational force from the blender unit to the blades (in the screw on lid for the pot) is made of hard plastic which had cracked over time and eventually exploded. The corresponding part on the lid/blades is made of hard rubber so has some flex to stop this from happening.
Having looked at the cost of some of these units 2nd hand will have to be the way if I need a replacement.
Blender/food processors. Mine has broken. It was a smoothie maker type thing I got given and abused it making peanut butter. Never have smoothies. What should I be looking at as a replacement? It needs to handle making peanut butter and chopping other things up really small.
