It looks pre war to me. After war they were using head badge stickers as there was shortage of metal?
Yeah it's a 1938 model. It was renovated mid 50s, and has a second works number on the frame and forks. It has a metal head badge with the coronation crown above the horse. But it has the closer badge drillings underneath for the old brass badge.
I've got a 1938/39 Holdsworth La Variable forgot the serial number . It's on here in Custom Projects
