If you had to choose the greatest African guitarist it would seem odd to choose a rhythm guitarist. But Lokassa Ya Mbongo played on so many hits, so many brilliant tracks, 'supporting', soukous' greatest lead guitarists, that he probably deserves the title.

Just read that Jacqueline Gold CBE has passed away. Created Ann Summers lingerie, her dad David Gold was co-owner of West Ham also passed recently, she was 62 :( sad times on Green Street this week, David grew up opposite the Boleyn ground.
