But I mean, you could answer in a much nicer way. It may be the reason that the brake levers are as close as possible to the bar when reaching them in the hooks (searched for the term right now). Apart from that? The reach is longer on the hoods. Also in the drops, not good like that. So it could be ,hook off-road riding‘ optimized?
