Use a ~£10 band-on adaptor and mount it above the existing braze-on. If you choose a suitable brand it won't be far off what the extension in photo does. Would tide you over until the one of your dreams arrives anyway?

Fair point...but i'm extending downward and the braze on is in the way :/

So smaller chainring then - try a band-on MTB front mech, quite a few have the band-on attachment low down relative to road mechs, I've managed to squeeze one in below an existing braze-on before...?

Now google has brought me to LFGSS where there are pictures of what appears to be two different kinds (shorter drop, and longer drop).

Ok, so i'm finishing up a Rourke road bike build...upgraded the cranks from a standard 105 crankset (big chainring 52t) to a praxis m30 (big chainring 48t) so the fd is about 2 to 3 millis short from ideal chainring clearance...The situation is like this:

Having seen the photo I think @Five-Hats had the right idea - it's only a couple of mm too high in fact, Dremel/file out the braze-on leaving 1mm of metal to stop it spreading and you should be thereabouts. There's not room for one of those adaptors - by the time the mech bolt is below the braze-on, the mech will be too low instead of a bit high. But also agree that it just might work if you don't want to attack the braze-on...

Try asking on the Timetrialling forum. They might often do this, but in reverse for larger chainrings.
In fact, I'll check my parts bin later 👍
Only available from China or Taiwan and I'd need it ideally within this century..
Any one got a spare one? Leads welcome ;)
