It is not trivial to make a step-thru bike stiff enough to handle the higher loads of a loaded ebike. I have seen a few models that although looking quite beefy, feel very sketchy around roundabouts and started to get speed wobble at quite low speeds. I would definitely not recommend converting one for a 32mile daily driver.

Otherwise tern short haul and bafang IMO.
Electric bikes have no reason to NOT be step thru design IMO
