  • Idk. I've always liked the look of these and the skeleton hour hand is my favourite looking way to execute the dual time thing.

The main thing about these is they're just such a fucking rip off of Zenith. Which seems odd for PP.

  • Oh yes, I especially like the bezel, it look more usable than the original 39mm BB58.

I think they’re learning people want the tactical feel of a proper bezel than an almost smooth one with zero grip (Pelago 39 and FXE)

  • The bezel on the P39 is mad grippy. So much better than the thin coin edge ones they've been using on the BB.

That they're putting the T-fit clasp on all their new bracelets (including the BB54) is also a big deal - it's so good.

  • Yep. 100% agree.

  • Yeah, the one I have a nice experience with is the Squale 1521, which felt easier to use than the BB58.

The Pelago 39 sound like a lots better than the 1521 now.

  • are they that much of an estate agent watch? i've always liked them.. :(

  • I like the 1521 bezel action a lot - such a solid clunk. P39 is smoother, a bit lighter and more precise feeling.

  • BB54 is 11.24mm thick (58 is 11.9).

    That’s amazingly thin.

  • What's the us brand that also "makes" bicycles? This really isn't a nice Patek.

  • If it's like every other Black Bay, it's going to be slab sided and feel much chunkier than it needs to.

I can even forgive the snowflake hands if they'd sort this out.

Also... the fake rivet bracelet can still >>>>>>>>>>>>>

  • I think that's the general view, certainly heard it here once or twice. I'll admit, I quite like it too!

  • What has been linked cannot be unlinked. Besides. Colours are on brand.

  • Sourced the correct bracelet for my Seamaster to replace the aftermarket one it came with. Simply could not get it on: local jeweller had a go and sent it to their watchmaker who managed it for the princely sum of £12.50.

    Very happy with it.

  • Aftermarket:

  • my Seamaster

    Love that!

  • What colour are you after?

Sorry! Probably a dark brown - What would you recommend for a gold/yellow dial?

  • Shinola?

  • I don’t know, I asked as I think I have a black or grey suede laying around

  • That looks great.

  • That thing better have Hate on alternate days

  • The 1908 looks very nice. Firmly in the "when I win the lottery" category

  • they’ve got it horribly wrong

    Have they?

It looks pretty good to me if you're after that Swatch X MK in precious metals look.

I do think yellow gold would be better, but then again you might loose the impact of the canary baguettes.
