  • Wow, putting Bamford out of business.

  • The epitome of Ab Fab.

    Will sell.

  • I actually really like the changes on the new Daytona. They've changed the blobby teardrop markers for sharper ones and it's a big improvement I think. I also like the metal frame around the ceramic bezel. And they didn't make it any bigger, incredibly.

  • I think it’s gonna be a busy day, Tudor and Rolex have both been at it. “Jubilee” on black bay , different dials and sizes.
Rolex gone titanium again on the yacht master in a 42mm and there’s more …….straight to their website with you all.
Nothing from omega , but then they are not at watches and wonder.

  • I saw some chat that Omega weren't even doing their single main "Omega Days" event this year and that they're likely to announce new releases all the way through the year.

  • A license to print Money.

  • Price increase is meaty though. Not that you can fucking buy one.

  • That’s probably true given what I’ve been told through our omega showroom.

  • I entirely missed the increases that mean Black Bays now cost three and a half grand. I was still thinking that you got them for about £2k.

  • It's the new movement. Which is a big upgrade, going by how accurate my P39 is, but jeez, they're nudging what I paid for my OP in 2019.

  • Nvm - IWC are asking $11.7k.

    They can fuck right off.

  • Some pretty hubristic pricing going on in 2023 for sure. That new GS chrono is €14,300!

  • Whelp - It makes my next watch purchase decision much easier; pass.

  • I spoke to a guy in the London Exchange boutique and he said exactly that. They don't want to follow any other brands to separate themselves from the whole Watches and Wonders event and will release periodically throughout the year.

  • LoL

  • 37mm will do great. Even though it's boring, I wish the markers etc weren't gilt, just steel.

  • I see it's £10,500 in steel, £12,900 in titanium - why on Earth?! I don't think anybody is going to be convinced that that small quantity of titanium should be £2,400 more expensive than the same volume of stainless steel. Are they? Is there a precedent for this? They all think they're Patek now.

  • 40mm Explorer :/

  • Hmm.

    I'm getting Sekonda vibes.

  • It's insane.

To me, IWC are a £3-8k brand - absolute max. On par with Tag in terms of quality / desire / blah blah.

You'd be mad to pay £10k for that in steel and even madder to bang £13k for one in ti.

  • I think the two tone actually looks pretty nice. Only thing that looks odd with all the sharper edges is the blunt stop of the lugs on the side profile.

  • Ceramic bezels only work in black or white on Rolex models for me, all the other colours looks cheap. Think the grey would be great if it was aluminium or a more robust metallic equivalent. Might change in the future if they update the formula.
