I bought it second hand so saved myself a good chunk of change which made it easier to stomach I guess. It needs to be on the steerer so you can push it down to reinstall the pre-load wedge. There's a good install video with all the details you need (except the weights/elastomer scale)

I've got a 90+50 elstomer installed and on the drops it doesn't move much but it's very obvious when you lean on the ends of the aerobars that you have some squish in the bars. They apparently get a bit squishier after a bit of use so I might end up going upwards in elastomers if it's too squishy (90+60, 90+70 and 90+80 still to go towards stiffer)
