First because I'm a big fan of anyone who jumps at running a company that aims to scale, it's a huge and scary proposition and a massive sacrifice and venturing into the risky unknown.
Second because it's a forum thing, I love it when people on here make things happen — especially when someone's been a core part of the community for so long and there at so many events and rides over the longest time.
But third, because hey I'm getting older and thumping music on long drives is less my thing — the idea of consuming a book on a roundtrip drive to Scotland, or chipping away listening to 20-40m of a book over a lunch break, well that appeals to me. But I tried Audible and disliked their subscription model, the catalogue being so vast meant it was hard to find the good, if you didn't want to subscribe the prices were 3-4x the book price, and of course I really didn't want to give money to Amazon or further lining the pocket of Bezos.
So here's jonny delivering a curated experience of high quality books through a bespoke app where the money is going towards making this even better — what's not to love about this?
Pinned to the front page for a month, and let's see if we can help him reach an audience.
