That floor has me wanting to tear up mine.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s beautiful and I’m envious but there’s no way it’s ever going to look like that again 😅

Is she at nursery tomorrow? If so, Tuesday morning.
Looks amazing though, especially as you didn’t have time to paint anything.
Love the cabinets doors. Who made them?

Our biggest regret is not going with a dark brown floor.
If we want ours clean we need to sweep and mop around 3 times a day.
We do not sweep and mop three times a day. -

we have a dark grey floor.
I left the external door in our utility room so we could leave the French doors for summer opening and double the utility space as a mud room. The kids don't use it and the kitchen floor is permanently muddy. -

Wouldn’t be an issue if you astroturfed the garden, just saying.

Garden benches. Any recommendations? Happy with a trad wood type but such a variance in quality and price, don’t know where to start and I’m not going straight to Skagerak without asking around. Do I just go for that green Hay palissade?

Are you in the West Country?
Personally I'd start hitting up the car boot sales at the weekend. There must be loads.
We got x3 school benches for a tenner and also picked up a school locker bench which the guy dropped round for £12 all in. But of a clean and some varnish and they've been great.

Not sure how that’d look. Maybe a couple of these?

Got some colour on the steels this weekend, it’s really transformed the space. So stoaked to have it (mostly) all done in the next week.

@Tenderloin what have you got protecting the floor from the chair and table legs? We did quite a bit of damage quite quickly when we were renting somewhere with a Dinesen floor, and I resorted to putting a rug under the table.

That looks fucking great

Love the chair.
Also, that kitchen! They have our floor.
Looking forward to seeing your place done.

Are these supported by the sides? Or is the material stiff enough that the shape is maintained?
I guess it's a combo of both, but curious about how stiff they are.

There’s a nice bit of give in centre of the seat but they’re very sturdy. I find them very comfy even without a cushion, though most people have to have a go before they agree
It was the gardener of the school and surrounding properties cottage, so yeah low ceilings and beams - rather than high ceilings and cornices!
