It’s -9 today, Ash asked me if I was gonna go for a ride. Hell no, it’s too cold. So she went surfing…

Is the chain meshing with both wheels at the point where they almost meet? I’m trying to work my brain to understand how that’s even possible, but I’m coming up empty.
-
• #818
because the pitch of the chain is fixed the teeth are always engaging at the same point, the wrapping action puts the full engagement of the upper before the full engagement of the lower, so they're never sharing full engagement, ya ken?

Getting started with the Habanero Gravel/Rando frame!

This is going to be killer. Loving the wheels in particular.
How hard was it to remove the shifter body from the lever? Thinking of doing the same.
-

The wheels are awesome, and awesomely expressive.
Removing the shifty bits is pretty easy, it’s basically the same across generations. I’ve done it to a few to turn them into just brake levers (see my Hot Tubes above) and in the past to make 1x cyclocross bikes, I used to have a rando bike (also a Hot Tubes) that I gutted the left and used a down tube shifter.

Just wow

Getting there. Like 90% there, just need a few small tweaks. The Campy derailleur couldn’t hit the 42, even with the Wolf Tooth. So had to change the freehub on the wheels to HG from XDR and tossed on a XT 11-40. Shifting seems perfect!
I don’t know if I’m sold on the EEWing crank here.

Oooofff.
Looks great, so do the eewings. The finish looks very similar to the frame.
I'ld get a less beefy chainring though.
Preferably in black imo, but I generally think that looks bests. -

I could also need a hand to info on how to remove the shifter bits. Have googled and YouTube'd but just to be sure.
Want to do 1*10 SRAMpagnolo
Well I am technically, but not in that way.
