Is it a good idea to put some protection on the chainstay where the brake's clamp gonna go? Electrical tape? An old inner tyre?

Been sweeping through local ads for a while, but so far zero proper second-hand coaster brake wheels, only 26", wide, steel rim monstrosities haha. I kinda wanna just buy a cheap one from Santafixie to see how it goes... although I'm in no rush with this at all. We'll see, I might even build one, never done that before and gotta start somewhere.
