that's awful. I remember them riding round the fallen motorbike but didn't realise it was such a grim crash.

I thought the link was going to be the uno-x (I think) rider who slid and then smashed his leg hard into a big wooden kerb. that looked sore!

Yeah, any update on this? He actually bounced off that kerb, it was nasty as fuck and I thought he'd stay down after that.

Not that I've seen. His team haven't issued an update on social media, which is how most team's communicate injuries to riders. But then Uno-X's social media policy is very Scandinavian, i.e. they don't say very much at all.

Whoever recommended the bike bar near the Menin gate, it is sadly gone. All the pubs have it on and there's a big screen in the square if you want to get wet. Currently in a coffee shop watching the team presentation. Lots of Eritrean fans about.

I had a banging toastie in this place after a cold morning sobbing at the Menin Gate, hungover to shit after a 3am finish at the Ghent 6. #CSB
