Perhaps that crystal glass I was drinking from told me....seriously no idea. Went to Verona few times back in 80s, a friend was in uni in Padua and as Venice is not really young people friendly city we sometimes went to Verona just for a change in scenery. It was there where I saw Mussolini branded wine......if you move half of population out, it would be lovely indeed.

That was a thing in Italy, certainly back in the 1990s. There was a cafe/shop at the top of the Falzarego pass that sold 20th century despot branded wine, so Mussolini, Hitler, Stalin, Mao etc. Presumably it was meant as a novelty that tourists would buy to take home.

It was Verona I was living in, how did you know?!
(While I was living there the city council voted to ban abortion - luckily as you probably know there's a federal law which prevents this, but still proper WTF)
