I thought that's between the tldr ;-) but I guess you have a point!
Hit the small trails in Grunewald. Go to a Bikepark sometimes but probably not ride the downhill stuff.
Take it to Switzerland and do laps of the fun thing they have built in the forest close to my mum's.Basically flowy play in the woods stuff. Things that are rideable on the stooge but not avoid the jumps anymore and less sore forearms.
For off-road touring I will keep the stooge, makes no sense to have suspension for what I plan on that side of things. -

Was wondering how shit all seals on a bike where the chain looks like on the Cannondale will be.

Uplift or ride up?
I run 140/130 on a canyon neuron and like it. I think most full Sus modern bikes from the big brands are good. For me it suits as I ride it, but making it better down would compramise the up and I ride up.

Always ride up. Maybe.
Don't know about Spain, but mtbing here in Germany seems like it's gone
directly from "we don't need infrastructure/trails/dedicated stuff for that to "everyone has a motor anyway" leaving out uplift stuff. -

Ride what you have, always a good point!
Way I read it you are on full sus as fatigue is a big factor in off road long distance.
I basically want a spring that pushes me out of berms etc so guess moderate trail bike is a good idea. -

No my trail full sus is for just fun around home. I ride rocky staircase footpaths and unkept trails.
I think whatever you get, you'll learn with it and want to modify it, that's me anyway. So maybe cheeper then you can punt on or modify, as you decide the geo is wrong etc. That said, it's a lot about suspension setup, tuning and tyres. Depends if you want to get deep into it or just have a bit of fun.

Habit geo is really showing it's age stacked up against the Last & Norco. I'd go For Fluid FS A2. Good suspension package and XT/SLX 12sp over the Sram SX on the A3 all day, everyday.

Thanks, yes a2 is great but BLUE NOT GREY!

Yes, I have impeccable taste.

I haven't bought a bicycle in two years
Incredible levels of restraint

Jibb all day, in my totally unbiased opinion.

New Habit is out very soon which would de-value that older one if that makes any difference. That generation of Habit is damn fun though.

I know. Feels like I almost defeated consumerist capitalist culture.

Haha. They are soo nice but a tiny bit on the expensive side. That big bearing man...
I think your Madonna showed up here at the same time I started looking at them. -

It does look fun!
And if I can get the right price, who cares if there is a new one? -

Raaw are a small company, but they're a small company that is big enough, if that makes sense? You get the ability to speak to Ruben about something, but there are also other people who you can talk to rapidly and they're genuinely very nice and very helpful.
In terms of the price a lot of that comes down to suspension choice, because I'm ridiculous I went for Ohlins which was the most expensive way of approaching it, but you could build a bike with the latest Rockshox stuff for a lot less.
Then you have external cable routing, which makes things hugely more practical, and the double sealed bearings plus of course the monster pivot bearings - all of which points to longevity.
I suspect that the Jibb would need consumables like bearings changing less frequently than the other bikes on your list, and Raaw will stand behind their warranty on the Jibb if you break it in a DH trail centre - something the others may very well not do.
Check out the video of the Jibb being shredded around Morgins - this is the bike that I use as my Swiss Army knife option, a 135/150 trail bike, and it's looking very much at home there.

It's like Ellsworth have spent the last 20years deliberately trying to sabotage their own business from the inside, yet people still buy enough of them to stay afloat, despite this
-
• #26248
I really wanted a red Ellsworth Truth back in 1998 though, so I'll let them off
-
• #26249
Ellsworth are still going?!

I know right?! I assumed once they stopped doing adverts in the back of mbuk 20 years ago they went bust
You need to tell us what sort of riding you want to do! Trail bikes are pretty wide variety and your budget seems to be very open.
A bike that's been sat will need a full rebuild, seals bearings etc so that'll add up
