I feel a bit of a prick posting that, as I’m professional Linocut printer now, but I did start off as just another knobhead forumenger so I reckoned it’s fair game.

@General_Lucifer stunning work as always mister.
I’ve since discovered 250 pet names for otters. But ‘cheeohwa’ from the Cherokee is the one that made me chuckle. Because bizarrely I imagined a chief asking his squaw wife, what do fancy for dinner tonight??

We cover the Dobhar-chú myth on Kraken Cove, it’s a monster Irish otter so big that it can punch through a horse. What’s not to love?

Love indeed, will this masterpiece have a print run?

Can anyone recommend any colouring pencils?
I have been inspired to do some drawing (first time since school) and want to add some colour but have no idea what to buy. It would be nice if the pencils were soft and could be blended (is that a thing?).

Faber Castell Polychromos are my favourites. Cult Pens is a good website to look at coloured pencils.

Just been working, but yes, the Otter is going up for sale this week. I have three copies at £180 each - it’s a large print for Linocut, 30cm x 40cm on a paper size of 40cm x 50cm. I’m printing another set this week. They will be limited, mainly because they are difficult to print!!

Caran D'Ache Prismallos are a fave.
Water soluble.
Norman Foster's favourite too. -

Thanks for all of the comments, complicated isn't it!!!
I had an invitation to trial Google Bard today and I asked it/them the same question, this was the answer!
The best colored pencils for blending colors are those that have a smooth, creamy texture. They should also be lightfast, meaning that they will not fade or change color over time.
Some of the best brands of colored pencils for blending colors include Caran d'Ache Luminance Colored Pencils, Faber-Castell Polychromos Colored Pencils, and Derwent Lightfast Colored Pencils.
When blending colored pencils, it is important to use light pressure and to work in small areas. You can use a blending stump or a finger to blend the colors. It is also helpful to use a variety of colors, as this will help you to create a more realistic blend.
Here are some tips for blending colored pencils:
Use light pressure. Too much pressure will cause the pencils to break and will make it difficult to blend the colors.
Work in small areas. This will help you to control the blending process and will prevent the colors from becoming too muddy.
Use a blending stump or a finger to blend the colors. This will help to create a smooth, seamless blend.
Use a variety of colors. This will help you to create a more realistic blend.
Be patient. Blending takes time and practice. Don't be discouraged if you don't get the results you want right away. Just keep practicing and you will eventually get the hang of it. -

Thanks @almac68 and @Rich_G.. I used a wee Derwent paint set which has a brush you fill with water, so I actually just mix and paint dead easily and quickly..
