You're going to have to read the small print on your cards. A lot of credit cards have terrible rates plus foreign currency fees per transaction. Debit cards are usually better. Some of the startup banks (Monzo etc) have zero markup on wholesale exchange rates for card transactions.
Going to Dublin for a stag. Am I best to just use credit card for purchases? Or is getting euros/prepaid card a better option?
Seems like some cash and everything else on card makes sense but wondered if there was another obvious option I was missing?
