Going to Dublin for a stag. Am I best to just use credit card for purchases? Or is getting euros/prepaid card a better option?
Seems like some cash and everything else on card makes sense but wondered if there was another obvious option I was missing?

You're going to have to read the small print on your cards. A lot of credit cards have terrible rates plus foreign currency fees per transaction. Debit cards are usually better. Some of the startup banks (Monzo etc) have zero markup on wholesale exchange rates for card transactions.

I just use a Monzo card, bit more protection too because it's not directly linked to my bank accounts.

Check your card for fees. If you have time get something like Revolut or Starling if you need something with minimal fees.
Take a bit of cash out from the cash machine over there and card for the rest.

I used Mobile Lock & Safe Co. Ltd in Wandsworth when I needed a spare for my Corsa van. Was cheap but needed to go to their shop to get it programmed etc.

Post Office multi-currency MasterCard works well for us. We've used it in France, Ireland, Canada amongst others.

It depends on the type of key as far as i understand it. I got a quote far less than that from Timpson for a key for my Stepwagon, but it's a basic one with a chip but nothing else.

I got spare Ford keys cut and programmed from Timpsons for not much money.

As others have said get a no fee on foreign transactions card. You will get a better exchange rate than cash too.
I have a Halifax Clarity card - https://www.halifax.co.uk/creditcards/travel.html

Thanks for the answers all. There’s no fee on foreign transactions on my card so will go with that!

Fwiw you'd totally get away without having any cash, I haven't used any in years here.

Are there any wholesale distributors of Rene Herse tyres in the UK? Or do shops purchase directly from RH at trade prices? Might have access to trade accounts through work so tempted to get some if possible.

"Installing the support plate
If installing the front derailleur to a brazed-on type frame, a support plate must be attached tothe seat tube.
Be sure to install this in order to prevent damage to the frame from the pressure of the front
derailleur support screw.
"(I just googled "shimano grx front tab" and looked for a suitable result.)

The crotch on a couple of my riding shorts (denim fabric, not spandex) are about to blow out. Anyone here have someone who can do a good job of replacing with some fabric ive got?
