It was already there but buried under years of neglect and overgrowth- felt like an archaeologist digging it out and discovering it lead all the way up the garden. Its anything but level though ;)

How did you prep before you put the seed down? The commercial contractors seem to favour glyphosate the shit out of an area so nothing else is growing before they seed which works but is obviously not great environmentally.
I just turned over the lawn which was there before, and that's all. To seed I mixed all the seed into a sand/topsoil mix, and then spread that rather than just putting the seed down.

how many years worth of gardener would a £10k driveway pay for?

We have two apple trees, a pear and a plum tree in our garden. When it all starts dropping if you don't pick it up it smells like a brewery and you can get angry drunk wasps too.

Who knows. Maybe ask someone who has paved over their front garden? If the question is whether looking after a garden involves either quite a lot of work or expense though, then the answer is "yeah it does". Does that help?

Ha, that was exactly my experience here. Had no idea there was one at all running the whole length. Clearing the garden became measure in how many flags I uncovered in a given session. Although mine is ugly council flag stones, but beefy because of it.

@Grumpy_Git Exactly the 2 I'd reccomend. Use them both at work all the time :)

We got one today written on behalf of the woman who told us she'd market it for £100k less than what we've been offered, telling us she can't believe anyone would market a property without a video tour
She has a point tbh

My building of 5 flats is seeing a 40% increase in insurance premium. Possibly due to having a claim (tbc). I want to help the owner of that flat above who sorts it out every year. Is anyone else seeing that in a block of flats (converted house)? any tips on getting cheaper insurance?

Also need my bastard neighbour to let a window person stand on his porch which will be fun. And got the top floor flat with another leak coming through their decking which not sure we should be splitting equally...!

I’ve always wanted a house where the front door opens onto a Trunk Road.

The dream

Wtaf, 3 and a half minutes of that! Granted I only made it through the first 30 seconds but my favourite bit was the never ending stream of cars going past the window.

Granted I only made it through the first 30 seconds
Didn't get to the key change and guitar solo then?

I expected her to ride the white dog aka Luck Dragon up the stairs for the climax.

The key change was wild.
It's a great video, but it's a no from me.
Fair play to hear for acknowledging the big road though.

Another dredge...
Any feedback on how all this went? Any regrets about Resi or TTA or using a combination of those?
Resi definitely seems like an attractive option in terms of how much of the organisation they'll do and we're pretty much resigned to buying somewhere that needs work and trying to get it done fairly quickly.

Heavy smokers?
Largely good although the apples and leaves from the apple tree will be problematic. Swap out with one of these and you're good to go.
