Welding... small holes
If they're small holes and looks don't matter what about JB Weld?
If they're bigger that a blob will fill either do it in two stages, or if it needs suport then cut up a coke can and make a patch.
It'll be less effort than taking a mixer to a welder.

Hiya, I live in Streatham.

Thank you - probably a bit easier than getting to @stevo_com's

The only reason I didn’t say, is incase you push it and then rupture something else. If he has big enough grips might be able to use them to pull the pipe into the fitting

Polyfiller (or similar will do it). If the gaps below are also deep (happened with our new window sills), then you'll need to build it up and get the initial blobs right in there.

I am just down the road in Thornton Heath/Norbury, but as said above, I take mini_com to nursery in Streatham so if there are random tools you might need and don't fancy buying, you are welcome to borrow.

How big are the gaps? Biggest gap here I filled almost as soon as we moved in. I used a few layers of ready mixed easifill and it hasn't fallen out or cracked since (2+ years ago). If they are deep, you can get lengths of foam (called "caulk savers", I believe) to stuff in the gap first so you use less filler. I used that for the gaps around the veluxes when they were replaced (about 10mm wide and in places infinitely deep as it went into the roof void). Or use expanding foam and finish over the top with a filler. Expanding foam can be a messy fucker though if you've not used it before, and a bastard to clean up if you don't realise the nozzle is blocked, try to use it and then have it pop all over your TV console...........
I like easifill, but recently got a tub of Toupret fine filler which is lovely in comparison (IMO), and sands super easy. Not sure how good that would be at a deep fill though.

Also, for the velux gaps I used Toupret Flex Fill (or Fill Flex) from a tube/caulking gun as it was a long thin fill. That stuff needs to be smoothed down when you apply it because it doesn't set hard (funnily enough, being called "flex"). But as a result should be less inclined to crack and has fibres in it for more anti-crack goodness. Used it around the built in wardrobe trims too.

Dunno if you’d successfully weld an Irish tumble dryer. The drums are usually really thin and a welder may well just blow further holes in it. If they’re not too big short bolts with big washers either side will plug them.

Like fender washers.

I've had success with ronseal 'big hole' filler with toupret fine filler over the top

It’s not for a deep fill, just splodged a load of easyfill 60 over some chasing which has been bonded first and the Tourpret fine is going to be 1-2mm only, it does feather out beautifully though. -

Who do I call if I think there’s blocked sewage pipes or something? Really odd smell in the toilet. Far weirder than Krapatoa.
Is it a broken toilet or is it fucked pipes, I don’t know. My only experience of stufff like this is when we lived in Streatham and they had to unblock the drains. It wasn’t pleasant. -

Isn't the u-bend / trap and the water therein supposed to prevent any odours from downstream?
Does your toilet flush okay?

It's under the shower tray so no access from above. I can make the hole bigger but I'm not sure if I'll achieve much more because they are notched into the joist on the right.
Homeserve are coimg out again on Monday so I will see what they say. But it's not leaked at all since I tightened it up, so I'm tempted not to fuck with it.
