I use a 2 prong park tool pin spanner to remove the cap on my mavics, it could work for you aswell. They are about a tenner though you will have to make sure it's the right size. They come in 2 I believe. I can't remember what one as I have both.

The 6 pin one will make an easier job though and not a bad investment

You're right, 3c70 ...... However, I've tried the pin spanner & some C-clip pliers approach, but it doesn't work in my case, the wheel hub wasn't well looked after .... so lots of seized parts .... & the lock ring is tight ...... the 2 prong just doesn't give enough purchase to turn the tight lock ring :-(
Anyway, at least I'll have a nice anodised tool after paying £42 :-)
Thanks for your advise

Hi there,
Anyone out there have one of these tool that I can buy …… good working condition please …. I don’t fancy paying £65 for the Mavic one …… an alternative from BSC tools will still cost £45 for one :-0
Thanks in advance
