  • Thankyou , it was on Dartmoor, a relative of the green hall Whitley brewery family paid for the stones to be inscribed to celebrate the failure of Parliament to pass a new book of common prayer .
    Some people consider it vandalism, and aren’t happy that the writing has been re cut and restored a few time times over the 100 or so years , they think it should be left to weather away .I’m not religious but found the story interesting
