I got a puncture a few weeks ago, and It was wet and muddy and horrible.
So I decided to try those new tubolito X tour inners, that come with a 1 year guarantee. £22 each is expensive, but I thought for a year of not worrying much on tours etc it's good peace of mind.
Put them in two days later the one in the rear ruptured in the kitchen randomly with a loud bang, only at 40psi. Did the warranty, got a replacement. The other original one on the front has now punctured, a week later.
I've now got two punctured ones (one not repairable as it's on the join, other one possibily repairable, but I don't want to spend another £5 on a patch kit), one replacement not fitted, and another warranty one in progress.....
Think I'm going back to normal inners... Could have got eight of them for the same price.
They’re shit. We got excited in the workshop and ordered a bunch. First two colleague fitted instantly popped. We joked about his skill.
Other colleague fit one. Next day down.
I fit one, it popped. All this at low pressure.
Pirelli’s offering is a bit sturdier but no better.
